Cetana Educational Foundation

In 1993, Cetana Educational Foundation was formed in response to a perceived need for higher education opportunities for students in Myanmar (Burma), where universities have been virtually closed since 1988. Cetana's board seeks places for students at universities in Thailand and the United States, while its Steering Committee of private citizens in Myanmar finds qualified candidates who are committed to returning to their country to share their knowledge. Cetana hopes in this way to assist in building the human infrastructure that the country will need for the future.

In 2000, Cetana supported ten students from Myanmar, with eight studying at 3 universities in Thailand and two studying in the United States.

Cetana Foundation is a public charity with 501(c)3 status. The Foundation is not affiliated with any government, and depends on contributions from individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations. For more information and to send donations, please contact:
